Beef Stroganoff

Rich and creamy Russian classic

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, cut into thin strips
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked egg noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. 1 Season beef strips with salt and pepper.
  2. 2 Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. 3 Cook beef strips until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  4. 4 Add onion and mushrooms to the same pan. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  5. 5 Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  6. 6 Sprinkle flour over vegetables and stir to combine.
  7. 7 Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly.
  8. 8 Add Worcestershire sauce and bring to a simmer.
  9. 9 Return beef to pan and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  10. 10 Remove from heat and stir in sour cream.
  11. 11 Serve over egg noodles.
