Apple Crisp

Warm, comforting fall favorite

Ingredients

For the filling

  • 6 cups sliced apples
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

For the topping

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. 2 Toss apples with sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon.
  3. 3 Place in a greased 9x9 inch baking dish.
  4. 4 Combine oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon.
  5. 5 Sprinkle topping evenly over apples.
  6. 6 Bake for 35-40 minutes until topping is golden and apples are tender.
  7. 7 Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.
